I visited this store last night with my fiancée, and I’ve been a loyal customer for years as I live in the area.I always make sure to bring my ID when I’m purchasing, but this time I was simply accompanying my fiancée who was the one paying and had his ID with him. When we got to the register, the cashier seemed visibly irritated and was not friendly from the start. He asked for my ID, and I politely explained that I didn’t have it since I wasn’t making the purchase. I moved to the side and the cashier then told my fiancée “Who comes to a liquor store without their ID
” which was completely unnecessary and unprofessional.
We’re both 25 and have never been spoken to in such a rude manner by an employee at any business, especially one we’ve supported for years. It’s disappointing to be treated that way as loyal customers. Unfortunately, after this experience, we’ll be taking our business elsewhere.
