This is the best cat shelter. The employees are all such caring people. The person who runs the shelter (Christina) is exceptional! She puts her entire heart and soul into making sure all the cats at the shelter are well taken care of, loved and goes the extra mile to find the perfect home for them. It’s a great animal shelter.

I recently adopted my cutie cat, Lucky Charm, from the Town of Huntington Cat Shelter, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! Michaelle and Christine were incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout the entire process. They truly care about the animals and go above and beyond to help match them with the right families. The shelter is well-maintained, and the adoption process was smooth and stress-free. If you’re looking to adopt a furry friend, I highly recommend this shelter!
Found the love of my entire life here – French Toast (pictured) almost 2.5 years ago at this wonderful shelter. Christina helped me from the moment I walked in the door to the moment I walked out with my kitty after awaiting paperwork, background checks, etc. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Met lots of beautiful kitties here but this one really stood out to me and I knew I had to give her a forever home. I will forever be grateful I came across this shelter for giving me my best friend in the entire world. Best decision I ever made. Adopt don’t shop!!! This is the place to go.
Nothing but a great experience with Huntington Cat Shelter. These people truly care for and love these cats. The adoption process is extremely thorough because they really want to make sure the cats are ready to go home to the right family – they really put in effort to find good matches to ensure the happiness of both the cat and the family. Michelle and Christina have been amazing with answering questions and ensuring a smooth transition process. Christina has been awesome with answering all my questions and giving me support with cat health/nutrition/etc since we brought our kitty come!
The whole staff even took the time to write us a note about our cat which was extremely touching and felt really special. I always get good vibes from everyone when I come by.
