I only leave reviews when places blow me away and Meelo’s Pet World did exactly that! My Sheperd mix has always had problems at groomers, they would never let me or my dad stay with my dog Maya who has high anxiety, but is a complete sweetheart. They insisted on us staying outside. We would explain that it would go easier if we just stood there bc she wouldn’t think we were leaving her, but they never allowed it. Maya would be left half shaven or completely banned time after time. Then what seemed like a miracle happened and Meelo’s opened! They gently placed a muzzle and allowed my dad to be there for comfort and support! She didn’t even need a muzzle after a while! They shaved her after a year of not getting that relief of heavy fur off her and even expressed her glands and washed and blew dried her! They are experts in their craft. A place that genuinely cares about their clients and listens. They even gave our little Yorkie the cutest and perfect facial cut! They are also reasonably priced! I cannot rave enough about Meelo’s!! After years of searching, finally an incredible pet groomers right here in East Northport! I wish the business longevity and great clientele! We will only ever take our beloved pups here!
If I could leave less I would…. What a way to run a business…bring my two mini golden doodles there for grooming. I get there and ask about the time for pick up, and they tell me they are running at . . least 2 hours behind. “But, you can just leave the . dogs”. Yeah, right, I’m going to leave my 2 dogs in a cage for at least 2 hours because you are late. I guess the phone was broken…that’s why they didn’t call me to let me know..
I went home (20 minutes each way), after being told to come back in 2 1/2 hours. About an hour later I get a call from the owner. Asking me to give her a play by play of exactly what happened. Then proceeds to tell me I must have misunderstood. NOPE!!! She told me a dog was matted before mine….. really? 2 1/2 hours? And tells me not to go later because they have another matted dog. They were so kind and talented!!!
I bring them back a couple of days later, with strict instructions not to cut their tails. I go to pick them up and one of their tails was butchered. One side of his face is much shorter than the other..in fact, other people noticed. They are supposed to have very full tails. Guess what she told me? Yup, his tail was matted!!!! It was absolutely 100% not matted. It seems every dog groomed at Meelos is matted!
Please do yourselves a favor…there are plenty of good groomers in the area. Too bad,, when the other groomers were there this place was 5 stars !

After having a terrible experience at another grooming place, i was nervous to bring my standard doodle however Estefania did not disappoint and did a great job. My dog was cut beautifully and exactly how I explained and wanted. The length was beautiful and he looks so cute! Will definitely be using her going forward!
Our King Charles Cavalier has come twice for a grooming here and I could NOT be more thrilled with the service, kind atmosphere and results each time. She is impeccably cut, washed, blown out and always leaves with a little pizzazz, like a bow or necklace. Absolutely wonderful. Thank you Estefania and staff!!!
I am so glad Meelo’s opened up down the block from me. I have 3 little angels and i could not be more happier with the way my babies were treated! They look absolutely adorable! The staff was so nice as to show me around the place because I was worried where they are going to stay. They had a play area for the dogs and the cages were huge with beds and toys! All of my babies were able to stay together! I definitely recommend using them. Super, super sweet and my babies look amazing! Oh and I can’t forget the pricing… amazing.. they give wonderful discounts for different things! Love them❤️
