Dogwood Picnic Area is a spacious park with wheelchair accessible entrances and parking. It is good for children but does not allow pets. The park has picnic areas that are suitable for sunny days and hosted community events under tents during rain.

It poured rain so the charity walk was not completed. However under portable tents there were other sponsored groups with information that could be visited while it rained.
On a sunny day, picnic areas would be spacious. The park does not allow pets.
