Veterans Memorial, located on Park Blvd in East Meadow, NY, is a scenic and meaningful destination that honors the service and sacrifice of America’s veterans. While primarily known for its memorials and beautiful marble plaques, the park’s grounds provide a peaceful, family-friendly environment. Lush landscapes, a calm lake, and well-maintained walking paths make it a popular spot for pet-friendly outings and peaceful dog walks.
Although Veterans Memorial is not exclusively a dog park, pet owners can enjoy dog-friendly trails, scenic benches by the lake, and ample open space. The park’s serenity and strong community feel make it a great place to unwind with your dog, while children can take advantage of the adjacent kiddie park and pool area, making this a multi-generational destination. There is convenient parking and plenty of shaded areas for both humans and pets to cool off during warmer months.
Many beautiful marble plaques in this memorial memorialize men and women who served in the wars of the United States during its long history. The lake next to the memorial makes it an excellent place to sit and reflect on one of the many benches in the area.
This is an awesome neighborhood pool. My kids love the kiddie park. It’s 8 dollars for my husband and myself and 4 dollars for our daughter. My son is 3 so he was free. The locker rooms were super clean but they don’t have mirrors. Life guards pay close attention to the kids allowing us some peace of mind.
This place holds the echoes of courage and sacrifice. The very stones seem to whisper stories of bravery. It is a sanctuary for remembrance and reflection. May we never forget our heroes.
We love this pool but recently we ended up getting whatever paint they used all over ourselves and it completely stained our bathing suits. Just a heads up be careful and avoid touching the sides of the pool. We reported it to the manager. It was
a pretty sloppy job on their part
It’s so amazing that they have such a beautiful place to pay tribute to our valuable veterans. They deserve to be remembered more than anything. They are what has kept this country great. God bless America. God bless all who served.
