Nice, well groomed trails. Not too steep. It’s about a 3 mile out-and-back that goes to another parking lot (at 398 Gale Hill Rd, East Chatham, NY 12060). There are a few shorter loops along the way with scenic views and nice benches.
The lake and ponds add beautiful interest.

Fantastic hiking and nature area. There are two parking lots, which means you can choose which end you want to start at and either walk the entire trail system or pick a section. The trails are well maintained and marked, each junction typically has signs and a map indicating where you are and where to go. Benches are available for anyone who needs to stop and rest a moment. There are no public restrooms, so be prepared. Common birds include tree swallows, red-winged blackbird, and cedar waxwings.
