I took the Laurel Loop trail to South Valley trail and headed toward the boardwalk and the old pyrite mine area. Saw a beautiful large blue Heron. Go early. There is no escaping the humidity.

This is a long trail and you can follow your progress on google maps on this one. It is one of the main trails in the park and leads to many other trail heads/intersections. It goes right along a creek with many views along the way.
