Royal Oaks Park is a spacious and well-equipped dog park in Duarte, California, known for its family-friendly atmosphere and pet-inclusive amenities. Featuring dog-friendly hiking and walking trails, open fields for play, and lots of shade from mature trees, it’s an ideal spot for both energetic pups and their owners to enjoy the outdoors together. The park has a peaceful, welcoming vibe and scenic spots such as a bridge area that make it popular for strolls with your furry friend.
Besides being dog-friendly, Royal Oaks Park offers amenities like picnic tables, barbecue grills, a playground, public restrooms, sports courts (basketball and tennis), and a covered gazebo. It’s wheelchair accessible—with accessible parking and entrance—making it easy for all to enjoy. Note, however, that there is no dedicated fenced or off-leash dog area; dogs must be leashed in public areas but will find ample room to walk and play.
Overall the park is great. Only issue is there are no rules for the tennis/ pickleball courts. There are also no posted hrs for said courts.
Clean park. Ride safe space to park and play. There is plenty of room to have your small dog play with the ball.. Large and small walking trails. Nice, well-built play sets for little kids. You have a choice of playing basketball or tennis
Visited on an April, early evening, still light out and the weather and scenery were beautiful! We took a walk around the bridge area and it was very peaceful and relaxing. I would like to come back and spend more time.
Nice park and plenty of space for kids and families to play and relax. The trees provide of a lot shade and there’s a covered gazebo for parties or for picnics. There’s a field on one side you could easily set up for volleyball or play some soccer. There’s basketball courts and tennis courts a little ways down and pathways for walking. It’s a sand park so I recommend wearing close toed shoes. It’s not play/beach sand. There’s parking but it fills up fast
Great all around park. We come here about once a month per able to play Basketball & some Pickleball right next to each other respectively, plus bathrooms are nearby as well.
