Lloyd Park

Lloyd Park is a welcoming dog-friendly park featuring a creek that’s perfect for dogs to swim and cool off on hot days. It offers hiking trails, picnic areas with tables, playground facilities for children, and a friendly laid-back atmosphere. While it is not fully fenced, it’s ideal for well-trained dogs who stay nearby. Amenities include wheelchair accessible entrances and parking, public restrooms, and recreational activities like volleyball and slides. Caution is advised around certain dogs, and small dog safety should be considered due to the open layout.

Only off leash dog park in the area…stream to swim for dogs … tree planting taking place to shore up erosion around deep jump/swim pond area for the nutty dogs. Love it but not everyone watches dog as they should use caution with small dogs/ children.

Love this place just wanted to share a warning about 1 dog. His name is Cody and he’s a medium size black dog with long hair. He has attacked my dog unprovoked, with me trying to cover her 3 times, all months apart. I have witnessed this dog attack other dogs, as well as biting his owner who will no longer break up a fight that his dog is involved in. His wife also will not control the dog. The dog also bit another frequent goer and he required stitches. If this dog even attempts to attack my dog again I will be contacting authorities for an aggressive dog. The owners need to stop going to the dog park. This is the ONLY dog that everyone knows is a problem. They never leave right away and just let it attack another poor dog. If you know your dog is not friendly DO NOT COME TO A DOG PARK!!!!

Very nice park for the dogs to run and swim in the creek.

I love this dog park! One important point to keep in mind is that it is not really fenced in. It’s imperfectly lined with shrubbery, but there is a big opening not far from the entrance gates and no real boundaries at all at some other parts. It’s excellent for a dog that is experienced at playing at dogs parks and stays near you, but not so much for an untrained dog. Anyway, it’s got a creek with little beaches and deeper spots that they can swim and splash, walking trails where you can have a little hike with them, and people tend to be more friendly and laid-back here than some other dog parks in the area. Your dog might likely get muddy, though, but they will definitely have a lot of fun.

Great park for dogs and especially if you’re willing to let them play in the creek. Not too deep or too shallow, water is cool so it’s great on a hot day.
