By far this is the best trail we have been to in Southwest Michigan! So much beauty and serenity can be found here. The main trail is a 1.5 mile loop. About 3/4 into the main trail it splits off onto a second trail – the river trail. The only drawback I found was near the end (or beginning – depending on which way you take) the trail comes out onto Frost Street for a couple of feet before returning to the woods near the parking lot. The trail is also easily marked with footpaths, boardwalks, and foot bridges. I love this trail and plan on returning soon!

I haven’t been here in 28 years last time was to do the boardwalks for my eagle scout project and it just so happened the day I showed up there was a young gentleman who was replacing the timbers and raising the boardwalks to maintain them it was absolutely wonderful to see. The work he’s doing is fantastic,The trail is just like I remember it’s a wonderful dark, deep woodsy trail with a little bit of mud, Glad to see it’s being maintained
