Reviews

It was really windy, and the ball kept flying back at us instead of out when we threw it lol. But it was a really nice park and Max had a lot of fun.

Clean for what it is. Very nice people every time I’ve been. Sorry to all the humped dogs. It’s what he does!

PROs:
-Pretty spacious dog park located in Western KS
-Properly fenced
-Drinking fountain, picnic table, waste bin, and doggy poop bags provide
-Rules clearly posted at entry point
-2 entry points
-Surrounded by a park, the local zoo, the Arkansas River bed, train tracks, and the RV park, meaning more areas to explore
-Area well taken care of, hardly any littler and most people pick up after their dogs
-Super friendly people
CONs:
-Only two big tree for shade (there are many baby trees planted throughout the dog park, so one day they’ll provide a lot of good shade for everyone)
-Doggy bags for the poop clean up are often empty
-Only one picnic table
-No gated separation for small and large dog breeds, the dog park is literally one large backyard
-Stickers in the summer time can get bad (newer grass has been planted, so that should help combat the issue)
-Water fountain is currently out of commission, so bring water if staying for a while

Love the dog park but people should refrain from bringing their dog if it’s a female in heat OR they aren’t up to date on their shots. Also, if you don’t like your dog to be socialized, don’t bring them and if you do, don’t expect others to leave for you and definitely don’t threaten to kick other dogs bc you have issues!! Other than that, I give 5 stars.

Nice large area for dogs to run and play. There are 2 entrances one from the campground and one from the city park side. I entered from the campground side and there was a doggy bag station available and that’s about it on that side. Not sure what was on the other end.
