Park 4 Paws is a fenced, membership-based dog park located in Dixon, Illinois, offering an off-leash environment where local dogs can run and play safely. With wheelchair accessible entrances and parking, this pet-friendly park is great for both dog owners and families. Please note, you must purchase an electronic key card in advance from the Park Office and provide canine vaccination records to gain entry.
This park features a secured area for dogs, making it one of the few options for off-leash fun in the area. Its convenient location in Dixon makes it easily accessible to local residents looking for a safe and controlled space for their pets to socialize. However, it’s beneficial for long-term or local visitors, as a fee and advance registration are required for access.
You have to pay NULL a year for an electric card to get in a fenced in place. That to me is ridiculous. Now I don’t have anywhere else to take my dog without her leash. I went over there and it looks like no one really goes over there anymore. I wonder why!? If the people who made this park looks at there reviews, I 100% recommend you take off the annual paying
Came here expecting to be able to let my dog run around and have fun, but the owners of this dog park decided to spoil that by making people pay `undefined`! People like that ruin it for everyone. No wonder there wasn’t a single person or their dog in the park.
Looks great. Too bad I didn’t know it was fee based. You have to purchase an electronic key card for NULL in advance from the Park Office. Here is some photos and signage.
I should have read the reviews first! We were visiting from out of town for several days. We didn’t have the required (canine) vaccination records with us, so couldn’t get a pass. And paying NULL for our senior fur baby to romp off-leash a few minutes seems a little extreme.
Looks like a good place for local dogs whose humans can afford the fee. There were several dogs there when we stopped.
So sad. We love dog parks. We are travelling and needed a place for pup to run. Never saw this fee before in any place. We live in Illinois and have 4 nice dog parks at home. Each has caretakers too plus people are responsible to clean up if needed. Someone needs to build a dog park near the interstate that loves pups too.
