7/27/25 Nics area..covered porch need half screened in, to much fighting flys, nats and bees. Restroom need a little help, more light.

It was originally Patterson Park. My grandfather donated it to be used for the schools. Then somehow the County ended up with it. We (the Patterson’s family and the Sherman’s. ) All cousins that are left. Had a FAMILY REUNION there today. Had a blast. It will always be Patterson Park to us.

Spacious park with plenty of room for kids, dogs and groups to play, run, picnic and gather. Playground was well equipped with interesting and interactive equipment, some involving a zip line, spider ropes, painted 4-square and hopscotch areas, and several swing sets, one which features a JennSwing, a molded full body swing designed for children with special needs (supporting babies just beginning to sit up on their own to school-aged children weighing up to 125 pounds).Park offered plenty of shady areas, as well, along with clean bathroom facilities. There was a janitorial serviceman present during our visit. Highly recommend this park and will certainly be back!
