We knew we wanted to spend the day somewhere new we have not been before. This beach is about an hour from our house, but I work in Latrobe so I knew that Keystone State Park was here and I knew that there was a beach since I have drove by this a time or two. Instead of choosing some other options further away we wanted to stay closer to home. We were super glad that we chose this beach! We do have a beach about 10 minutes from our house, but there are no amenities to speak of. We were really happy that This beach had changing rooms and not only that showers to go with it when you were done to clean off. And to top it all off, there is a concession stand. We really like that. There is a grassy area where you can leave your stuff before the sand so everything you bring does not get covered with sand and taken back home with you. We would definitely come here again, but I think next time we would bring a canopy and stay longer. We ended up packing a picnic and did a little bit of hiking before cooling off in the water. We would recommend this, especially for families with kids.

Very nice place to stay with family and friends and enjoy the beach, walking around, plenty of restrooms, dress-up rooms, showers, restaurants with ice-cream, drinks and French fries.

Beautiful quote large, always clean beach. The lake is nice to freshen up and the sand is soft. Closer to the edges and along the shore it’s more muddy but the rest is quite nice.
It can get busy during summer. Bathrooms are close by and there’s a large lawn right behind the beach that’s mowed frequently keeping everything neat. The playground is close to the main building and not far from the beach. Next to the beach, kind of hidden there’s a small kayak launch.
