Derby & Ansonia Dog Park

Derby & Ansonia Dog Park is a small city dog park featuring separate areas for small and large dogs. It is located in a quiet, peaceful area and has agility equipment including ramps and tunnels that dogs enjoy. The park tends to get muddy when wet and has some maintenance issues such as ditches and empty poop bag dispensers, but it offers fresh water via a water spigot and some seating is likely present. The park does not have paved paths or covered shelters, but is easily accessible and a good option for local dog owners.

We love going here. Great little park, usually several fun friendly dogs, love the agility ramps, tunnel, etc. Great that there’s a water spigot so you can get your pup fresh water.
Its a realy nice dog park but there is no maintenance for it. There are ditches in the ground that my own personal dog tripped in and hurt herself and the poop bag dispenser is empty and it seems like no one cleans up after their own dog so you have to watch your step.
Smaller dog park but nice to have in the city for sure. Clean and easily accessible. Stopped here before going to Roseland apizza.
Awesome dog park to go to, it has a small and big side. It’s in a quiet and peaceful area. My dog buddy absolutely loves the obstacle course.
I take my dogs there sometimes bc it’s really close to my home. Compared to others, it’s very unkept and very basic. It tends to get quite muddy after it rains or snows. So far I haven’t seen any water spigots but maybe I’ve overlooked them. There are a few dog bowls and a couple gallon jugs with some water in a few baskets. They have a small dog area which is a decent size and a large dog area that’s a pretty big.
