Located at 360 Hooker St, Denver, CO 80204, Barnum Dog Park is a popular spot for dog owners looking for an off-leash, fenced area to let their pups socialize and play. As a dog park in Denver, Colorado, it’s celebrated for its spaciousness, variety of green spaces, and its proximity to scenic areas like the nearby lake and park trails. The dog park features multiple separated sections, including dedicated areas for large breeds, small dogs, and even high- and low-energy pups, making it a versatile choice for any dog temperament.
The play surface consists mostly of rocks, sand, and some weedy grass patches, which can be a mixed experience—some dogs love the room to run, while others may find the pebbles uncomfortable. Pet parents will find basics like poop bag dispensers and trash bins, but amenities such as shade, seating, and working water fountains can be lacking. The surrounding Barnum Park provides plenty of additional activities, including playgrounds, trails, sports fields, and gorgeous lake views, making it a great option for a family outing or a leisurely pet-friendly walk in Denver. On-site parking is available, though be prepared for a short walk to the dog park entrance.
Went at 11am. Didn’t like it. Too much gravel. No where to sit. Not that big and no tennis balls. Its tuck back and had to walk around the whole thing to let the dog in.

Huge park with lots of room to run around. Great green spaces surrounding it. Even if you skip the park itself it’s a great walk around with the pup

I did not like this dog. Park seems like a big kitty litter box that has not been cleaned no shade at all no benches to sit to watch your dog no water fountain for the dogs to drink water my dogs wanted to leave right away which they usually don’t want to leave every where I walked there was dog poop not even no dog bags I will never go go there again terrible place to take your 🐶

Not Dog friendly. Entirely made up of small pebbles this pit has no trees or any other features whatsoever. Not comfortable for the dogs or the people. Mostly all direct sunlight Penny Doggins disapproves and prefers to walk the lake right next to it.

There is plenty of room for dogs to run and play. I also really like that they separate it by high energy and low energy. It is all rocks and pebbles which get stuck in the dogs paws so I notice some pups don’t really care for it at all. Also, it could be improved on if they would put some agility stuff.
