Barwick Park is a beloved community spot in Delray Beach, FL, offering a relaxing escape for both two-legged and four-legged visitors. Known for its pet-friendly trails and open grassy spaces, this neighborhood park is popular among locals looking to enjoy dog-friendly hiking, nature walks, and quality time outdoors. Although not a traditional dog park with enclosed play areas, Barwick Park is dog-friendly, and visitors frequently walk their dogs along the scenic circular trails or let them play in the open fields. Free parking and a welcoming community atmosphere make Barwick Park an excellent choice for dog owners seeking a quiet, pet-friendly outing in Delray Beach.
Nice to get out again to the park. Taking it slow since it has been years. The path near the parking lot can use some repairs.
Edit 2/27/23; I went there to wax my car under the shade. New equipment for the kids to play on. It looks very nice.

I just want to know…who likes the wildflowers that was planted? I think it obstructs the view to see where people are. I guess I’ll have to get used to it. I’d rather Lake Ida personally. When it’s Very hot…there is more of a breeze there.
I don’t know who Tara was…but this is Such a nice way to memorialize her. May she Rest in Peace🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I stumbled here by chance when I was heading home from the nature parks. This playground is eclectic and unique among the playgrounds here in south Florida. The design of it gives so many options for kids to climb, jump, explore, and test their abilities. My one year old was able to climb to the top and enjoy a VIP seat on the top level. There’s public restrooms across from the playground and a nice circular path to walk or jog.
While visiting my friend in Delray, I discovered an enchanting park that left me spellbound. The park boasts a paved trail, lush wildflowers supporting bees and butterflies, and diverse wildlife, including squirrels, cardinals, blue jays and woodpeckers. It also features outdoor exercise machines, a picturesque playground and native plants, making it breathtaking in the mornings and afternoons. For Pokémon Go enthusiasts, there are two gyms and plenty of PokéStops; I caught a few shiny ones. I crafted two routes and tested them. A fire station is conveniently located nearby. I practiced grounding and felt rejuvenated. I even hugged some trees. This haven is truly wonderful, offering fresh discoveries every lap, covering a whole mile.
Great park for families. The playground and slide area were awesome. Lots to do for the kids. We even enjoyed the exercise area. There were benches and a nice covered pavilion for eating.
Great playground! The kids always have so much fun fun going there! The playground looks so futuristic. Few things: take water food and snacks with you. picnic tables are shaded. The restrooms are by the parking lot so use it when you get there because it’s a bit of a walk to the playground.Hope your kids have fun!
