This is the city park for bikers and sports players, not so much for those exploring nature, my reason of 3 stars. It is for city residents who come and enjoy pickleball, basketball, softball, soccer, football in one place with kids playground, nice picnic tables with grills. Trail is less than 2 miles total, all paved with no shades and right next to the main road and railroad, quite noisy.
Love this local park less than a mile from our neighborhood. Has very nice walking/jogging track, swings for the kids and other exercise equipment for adults as well as baseball diamonds and other recreation/exercise equipment. Bathrooms are clean.
We had a great time at Smith Park. There’s plenty of space for just about any activity. Playgrounds are nice. The pavilions are nice. Totally impressed and thankful the bathrooms were clean! Thank you Delaware for doing such a good good job. We rented a pavilion to do a life celebration for about 20 people. Plenty of trash cans in the picnic tables were clean and stable. Nice place!
Smith park is decent. It has a very small playground for young tots on the south side. It has a medium sized playground for older kids on the north end. There are baseball fields in between. The restrooms are MUCH cleaner than Blue Limestone or Mingo, though they were lacking in soap. All in all, it’s pretty good!
This is a large park. It has numerous football and soccer fields, basketball courts, baseball diamonds, tennis courts, playground, shelter houses, exercise equipment, 2 ponds, paved walking paths, restrooms (closed for the winter), and plenty of parking.
