If you’re searching for a dog park in Delaware, Ohio, look no further than Delaware City Dog Park. This pet-friendly spot is widely recognized for its well-maintained grounds, friendly community of responsible dog owners, and ample space for your furry friends to run and socialize off-leash. The park features deep, open areas perfect for energetic pups to burn off energy and enjoy a safe, supervised playtime environment.
One of the standout amenities of this Delaware dog park is its beautiful, natural setting, with mowed grass trails, some shade in the mornings and evenings, and views of the nearby bay. You can enjoy a peaceful outing on the trails or a relaxing snack break by the water. The gravel parking lot accommodates about 10 cars, making access relatively easy. While the park is generally clean and well-kept, note that there are no restrooms, seating, or trash cans, so be prepared to bring your own supplies and clean up after your pet. Please also be aware of occasional security concerns—park close to the gates and keep an eye on your car.
Most people here understand dog behavior so you have good dogs with a lot of deserving freedom. It’s really deep as well so dogs can get a long run in. Have only heard of one incident where an ignorant owner brought a dog that should never have been there, but there’s one of them in every crowd as they say. Great overall atmosphere
We love taking our dog here, and he loves it too. This park is very well taken care of and for the most part, dog owners and their doggos are friendly and respectful. It has become a weekend ritual to take take our dog here so he can burn some energy
Wish it was actually wheelchair accessible so I wouldn’t roll through feces and have to sit scraping it off my wheel since I tried to play with my dog and there is no trail for you to be able to get further into the dog park if you have a wheelchair
Love this dog park and my dogs do too. We won’t be going back until cameras are installed. Car was broken into while the dogs were playing and apparently this happens often. Park close to the gates and watch your car if you go.
We don’t go often enough but every time has been a wonderful time. Love that it’s so well maintained & owners actually do pick up after their dogs!
