Boulder Park is a standout destination for outdoor enthusiasts and their furry companions looking for dog-friendly trails in Delaware, Ohio. Nestled off Boulder Dr., this park is celebrated for its pet-friendly walking paths and serene natural setting. The well-maintained trails provide a refreshing escape where you and your dog can enjoy a relaxing hike and immerse in local wildlife.
What makes Boulder Park unique is its accessibility—both for people and pets. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, making it a welcoming spot for everyone. Families will appreciate that the park is good for kids, and there’s plenty of opportunity to spot wildlife during your visit. While hiking, be aware of the nearby gun range, which can cause occasional loud noises, and prepare for ticks and mosquitoes, especially during the summer months. Overall, Boulder Park offers a safe, scenic spot for dog-friendly hiking in Central Ohio.
Excellent walk if you have dogs who are bomb proof however if your dogs are afraid of firework type noises. But be aware there is evidently a gun range nearby and it is quite loud at this park. Also do not go off the path because we came home with ticks. Mosquitoes in the woods are also very thick. The last two things are unpreventable of course so prepare ahead of time in the summer months. Otherwise it is a nice, well tended path. Also several irresponsible pet owners (lady with an Alsatian today) did not pick up after their dogs so watch your step.
1st time there today with my bunny, saw a little wild life was a great hike😊
