Located off N Jamestown Rd in Decatur, Georgia, Mason Mill Dog Park is a friendly neighborhood spot for dog owners seeking a relaxing outing with their pets. This park features a simple yet functional fenced dog area with benches, shade from trees, and a mulch surface for dogs to play safely off-leash. The park is wheelchair accessible and provides parking options for easy access.
What makes Mason Mill truly unique among dog parks in Decatur is its direct connection to pet-friendly hiking trails. These scenic wooded trails offer on-leash adventures and lead to a lovely creek where dogs can swim and play. Visitors appreciate the natural atmosphere, waste stations, and the opportunity for socializing in a welcoming community. Whether you’re here for the off-leash fun or a refreshing hike, Mason Mill Dog Park is a great choice for pets and owners alike.
Always a nice place for the dogs to play, good walking trails nearby for on-leash adventuring too.
Ok dog park, short trail to creek is cool. Easy enough access to the water. ☺️ muddy after rain.
Lovely little park with some very nice hiking trails at the back. The fenced area is a pretty simple setup; a couple of benches, a fountain, some wood chips, a poop station, and a few trees for shade. It’s definitely a bit smaller than the other dog parks we’ve been to, but the trails are really what makes this park shine. If he’s getting overstimulated in the fenced area, we can just go hiking in the back and still get all of his energy out for the day. It’s got a lovely little creek for the dogs to swim and play in, and a bridge that takes you to some very scenic views for doggy photo ops.
Good-sized space with lots of things to sniff! It is mulched (with chunky mulch), so if your pup prefers grass it might not be ideal. It’s also connected to the wooded walking trails, which is perfect for burning some of my dogs energy before running in the park, or for an activity if there are too many pups in the fenced area. There are two separated areas, but bring your own water!
This is interesting, I don’t have a dog, but my car stopped on the way home, and I pulled in to wait for a tow truck. Almost every person stopped to ask if I needed help. This was one of the most welcoming places I’ve been in atlanta. The park is beautiful but the people are awesome!!
