Looking for a well-maintained, dog-friendly park in Dearborn, MI? Dearborn Dog Park offers a secure, fenced space for your furry friends to socialize and play right in the heart of the city. This members-only park stands out for its cleanliness, attentive maintenance, and a strong sense of community among local dog owners. The facility is wheelchair accessible and offers dedicated parking for a hassle-free visit.
The park features separate areas for large and small dogs, agility equipment for active pups, benches for owners, and plenty of shade to stay cool on sunny days. You’ll find doggy water fountains (seasonally operated), an ample supply of waste bags, and clear rules that help ensure a safe, friendly environment. Membership requires proof of up-to-date vaccinations and spay/neuter status—so you can feel confident your pet will have a healthy playtime experience. Temporary winter closures apply from mid-November to spring.
Wonderful Dog Park, its not as big as some dog parks that are located in more suburban areas, but for a city-location, its pretty great. Has a doggy water fountain, agility equipment, plenty of waste bags, benches, and a great dog owner-community. I go at least 3 times a week. I love getting to know all the dogs and dog owners, and Kingsley (my dog) LOVES it too! Occasionally the gate doesn’t work but that’s about the only thing negative I have to say.
For anyone one wondering like I was, the park closes for Winter 11/15 and reopens sometimes in April.
Always clean and well maintained. It’s so great Dearborn has put in this park. My dogs love to come here and we like meeting other residents of Dearborn. The rules are mostly followed here which makes for a safer and more enjoyable experience for everyone. There is a smaller dog side and a large dog side and each side is equipped with a full stock of bags for cleaning up after your dog, water fountains, and plenty of water for the dogs. The water supply is shut off sometime in the winter and turned back on March 15, yearly. If you join, you have to provide the city with information on your dog including health status -no intact dogs allowed! You’ll receive a key fob for the front gate. If you have recently joined, visit Dearborn Dog Park page one FB to get to know the requirements and meet other members and keep updated on closures and other dog park news. My only suggestion would be to fix the gate sensor which has been working off and on since the park put it in.
Clean, not very crowded. Two sides one for small one for large. There are a lot of rules though. Dogs must be sterilized
It’s SO GREAT that Dearborn had something like this! I just hope that dog owners realize that dogs sometimes “sound fierce” when they are playing! We’ve got a lot of pit bulls and pit mixes, so hopefully people aren’t too easily concerned.
Are fur babies love the dog park and they love all their new friends that they meet every time they go.. and I really like that the dogs that attend the park they have to be licensed they have to have all their shots up-to-date so that makes me feel a little bit better knowing that the dogs they are playing with have responsible owners and there dogs are covered from passing on things to other dogs at the park
