This place is great for walking! Trails are great, everyone I passed was friendly. Well maintained park, very clean. There is also another entrance for the lake. I will check it out next time.

Great park. Fishing the big lake is tricky without a boat or kayak etc. The small pond can be OK. The river side has lots of little holes that can be pretty good. Although this year I have not caught a lot of fish there, it’s so clean and pretty I keep going back. Great for walking and just enjoying nature.

I recently visited Eastwood MetroPark with the intention of photographing waterbirds, and it exceeded my expectations. The lake hosts a remarkable variety of waterbirds, making it a fantastic spot for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers alike.

What stood out to me were the multiple photography-friendly vantage points around the park. These spots provided excellent opportunities to observe and capture the birds in their natural habitat. Although I visited during a cooler season, the abundance of bird species was impressive, and I’m excited to return in the warmer months when I’m sure even more wildlife will be present.

Took my kayak out for the first time. I paddled all around the little islands and under the bridges. Lots of birds. Had my Merlin app running. The water is a bit gross – maybe from the geese, but it was still a nice morning.
