If you’re searching for an off-leash dog park in Davis, California, Walnut Park Unfenced Offleash Dog Area is a favorite among local dog owners. This spacious, grassy open field provides plenty of room for pups to play and socialize in a peaceful, community-driven setting. While the area is unfenced, making it ideal for dogs with good recall, it’s important to keep a close eye on adventurous pups.
In addition to dog-friendly space, pet owners find themselves near tennis and pickleball courts, adding an extra layer of activity to enjoy. The park is well-maintained and offers occasional shaded areas, with local residents helping to keep water available for dogs by filling jugs. With plenty of friendly faces and trails nearby, Walnut Park is a popular destination for those seeking a relaxed, dog-friendly park atmosphere in Davis.
Very beautiful and peaceful dog park. I was more interested with the tennis and pickleball court near by.

Tried out a new dog park. Brett had a great time playing with a Portuguese Water Dog and a hunting dog. Park was clean, quiet and relaxing. Many trail options to choose from.

This park does not have a fence to contain dogs. Please make sure your dog has good recall or is leashed.
Large park with lots of grass and well attended. One of the better ones I’ve been to.

All dog parks are fantastic, and I’m so glad Davis has so many of them, Walnut Park is an open field which makes it feel very open and large than it actually is which nice, but because it is unfenced if you have a dog that likes to wonder this might not be the place for you and you should give Toad Hollow the dog park across the bridge a chance. All though there is no direct water source the community does fill up water jugs, so there is normally plenty of water for your pup. Also, it’s right next to the city tennis courts, so there are always tennis balls around to play with!
