Gorgeous walk, plenty of trails that every time it’s like a new place to explore! And we got to watch the most beautiful sunset for our 18th wedding anniversary 💞
We had an enjoyable hike over very well maintained trails. There was one mile up a ridge that was rough but can be avoided if you want a smoother experience. All trails were well marked. Most of the hike was wooded but one trail circles a wide meadow. There was a port a potty at the parking lot. Trail use was very light when we hiked. I wanted a view at the top of the ridge to give a 5 star rating.
This is a very nice park with a diverse assortment of trails for everyone. We went on a pretty hot day, but due to the plentiful shade and water to drink, it wasn’t bad at all. The trails are extremely well maintained, and the convenience to Harrisburg can’t be beat. My wife and I hiked most of the trails in about two hours.
Great park and very peaceful environment! Your shoes will get wet as you walk through grass on part of the trail so be aware of that. This is a wonderful local park.
Nice wooded area and Rolling Meadows to hike through. Plenty of places to take a break with the presence of Adirondack chairs placed by the park. Dogs permitted on a leash and most trails are nice and wide. Could possibly go not sure access the Appalachian Trail through an unmarked Trail
