Room is okay. Could be cleaner. I also work in hospitality, so my standards are higher. Dust in places it shouldn’t be. A hair in the sink. Dust and hairs all around the bed in hard to see spaces but looking for bugs I see it. There were no bed bugs that I could find, I do a check in each place I sleep. But it never felt “clean”’either. I felt itchy and getting to sleep is difficult. It’s okay for the price. I’m glad it’s at least as clean as it is, but there’s no reason the housekeeping can’t do better. That’s just poor management and laziness. Do better, clean better. I requested fresh bedding, and I’ll be surprised if it was honestly. If I had paid more I’d be infuriated. 1 night okay, I wouldn’t do 2.
Check-in was smooth and the front desk staff were polite and helpful, which made for an easy arrival. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and the bed was decent for a short stay. However, the bathroom could have been better maintained. There was a used towel left behind, and there were no fresh towels stocked in the room. I had to go to the front desk to request clean ones. The soap dispenser was also empty, which was a bit disappointing. On the plus side, the location is convenient—it’s only about a 20-minute drive from Knoebels Amusement Park, which made it easy for our family trip. Overall, it’s a decent option for a quick stay near Knoebels, but the housekeeping quality could definitely be improved.
Me and 3 other family members booked rooms at the Danville location last Saturday Oct 11th (4 separate rooms). When we checked in it was after 10:00 pm. My nieces room had living cockroaches and what appeared to be eggs and/or feces from cockroaches. The room did not look like it had been cleaned in a while. My room smelled really bad of animal urine. We all ended up leaving that night and having to find somewhere else to rent a room because we live 3 hours away in Delaware. When we checked out at the front desk they told us they were aware of the bug issues!!! I want someone to contact me and I want a full refund. Joanne Chambers…you have my contact info from the reservation. I am considering reporting this location to the Board of Health. I expect to hear from someone soon.
Very clean, the staff was excellent and the room had amenities I didn’t expect. The best part was the price. You get a whole lot for a little. I will definitely stay there again.
Septic backed up into our hotel sink during our stay and had to fight to even get a refund. Was not offered another room or anything for becoming physical ill. Worst red roof inn location by far, rude staff, one is nodding off and there was also a used balled up tissue under my mattress for my “new clean” room. Pathetic staff, pathetic location, all around better off staying ANYWHERE else. Negative Stars
My dad was admitted into the hospital in the evening so I had to make a reservation for my mom last minute. He was so friendly and very helpful. Especially during the Bloomsburg fair when rooms were booking fast. She checked out but had to stay another night due to my dad having to stay an extra night. He was so helpful In getting her another room and keeping her on ground floor. It’s been quite some time since I have had hotel staff as friendly and helpful as he was.The room was slightly dated, but clean. No issues. Worked well for us.
Not great but not anwful either. Customer service in the lobby was okay, can’t complain there. But what was very unsettling when we first walked in was the HUNDREDS of dead flies (and what looked like bees) all over the floors and windows. Random hairs on the sink and bed sheet when we first walked in. Giant spider on the wall and bug on a towel. Odd smell similar to wet dog in both the lobby and room. Thankfully I brought a can of Lysol with me because that was the only way I truly felt comfortable to sleep in the room on the first night.
