Variety of trails. Easier trails lower down and on top of the hill. Climb to get to the top. Kids say they are rad and shreddable. Well maintained. something for everyone including skills jump park.
My family loves Hopewell Bike Park! Kids love the pump track and we love taking laps on the trail system. Thankful to have this option to bike in Danville.
This place is wonderful. The parking is a bit scarce- I’d say the loose gravel lot just below the start of the trail(s) where I’ve been parking might hold less than a dozen vehicles. However, if you’ve come here to ride, there’s plenty of room for bicycles!There are numerous options or trails to explore and a variety of terrain. I have a bum tailbone, so I don’t cycle, but go to as many places as I can and explore on foot. I’ve only just scratched the surface of this park, with having just explored the Down & Dirty and Out & Back trails and am stoked about how the park looks in warmer seasons.One thing I found particularly striking about this is the bicycle pump/stand/‘fix me’ station they have at the entrance. It’s perfect for quick fixes and fills and I think it’s just lovely that accommodations are there for that purpose. A+ MARC!
The amount of trails is impressive! The trails were very well maintained and a lot of fun. The trails were definitely a challenge for us as we are beginners but if you ride within your comfort zone you’ll be fine. We can’t wait to return to ride more of the trails.
I’m not expert or experienced enough to comment on the technical challenges or extensiveness this park offers vs others, but I’m impressed with the number of (and miles of) accessible, well-maintained easy and moderate trails, as well as the occasional expansive meadow/farm overlooks interspersing hilly wooded terrain. I do wish the small practice park beginner area had slightly more challenging hills and jumps for beginners like me to build up skills and confidence before graduating to the steep expert area.There are also some expert trails and nice blue trails on the back.
