A friend of mine and myself walked up the access road to retrieve a geocache and then came back the Black Bear Trail but I never saw one sign indicating what trail it was. I’m not sure that the trail still has the same name because I thought they changed them to some kind of medical names

This is a great trail network. Many signs that can help you navigate your way through. Lots of flowy trails. It is great for the novice as well as the seasoned pro that needs to get their pedal strokes in.
Beautiful trial but pathway was not marked very well and mostly rocky so boots are definitely a must
There’s a lot of ascent and some decent (but rocky) downhill. If you like more flowy smoother trails with more berms and jumps I would highly recommend driving the 5 minutes to hopewell memorial park which has much better trails (and a dirt jump and pump track area) in my opinion. But if you like technical trails with a lot of sharp and shaley rocks then this is a good place for you ( I’d recommend biking up to Squirrel (which is a black diamond downhill trail) it was my favorite trail at Geisinger, tho to be fair I didn’t ride all the trails.
Nice trails. The marking could be better. I did the Life Flight trail and it was a nice jaunt. However, there were times I was unsure whether I moved to another trail..
