As a Fort Worth former resident of Dallas since 2008 and avid dog park hopper dog mom.. This dog park is not worth the trouble unless you already planned on being at Klyde Warren. Stumbled upon this place while walking my dog at Klyde Warren.. there’s a lot of children there during the day, so I figured this would be an ideal place for my dog to find a friend off leash. Parked a little bit closer to the art museums on the other side. We managed to find 30 minutes to an hour parking for free. We visited at noon and they were washing this very small play area. While it is a small pocket of artificial turf – it leaves a lot to be desired. Not to mention the traffic passing by with a lower fence makes it hard to relax. Maybe if you have a smaller dog. My dog is an escape artist who sometimes follows other dogs out and this is right off a busy street, so it is less than ideal.
But we visited at noon on a Wednesday and there were no dogs for my 7 month old pup to play with, so she sniffed around.
There is a lot of acorns, so watch your pup if they like to chew.
If your dog likes to run like mine, there are better parks in Dfw. Try White Rock Lake Dog Park that’s at least 4x bigger.. even if it’s dirtier, there’s more dogs there. I’ve yet to visit any newer dog parks in the area, since we like in Ft Worth and rarely come back to Dallas to visit since we visit Hurst dog park often.

I used this place to give myself a break from my dog who hates her leash in order to finish eating my food since my dog wanted to play with the children and was pulling her leash.. at least here, there are more comfortable benches and there’s a trash can by the exit.
I feel the potential for a dog park by Klyde Warren was there, but this is a flop. I think it is geared more for the residents in the condominiums nearby.

Cute & small dog park in the middle of the city. It’s a nice sport to stop at while visiting KWP or while walking your dog. There is plenty of seating & water fountains for the pups as well!

I had a great experience here! Got to meet amazing people and amazing dogs. I had wonderful conversations at this dog park. Small enough to be intimate but long enough to be able to go to the other side and do your own thing. I can’t think of a single reason as to why I won’t come again!

Great dog experience. Park was clean and while not huge, plenty of room to roam around. Appreciate the turf (outside of extreme heat) and the trees for shade. Pup was well satisfied. Glad to find this oasis in the middle of the city.
