Beautiful and a great experience for crabbing and clamming! It’s all very close to the parking which is a plus with kids. We crabbed off the pier and got a horseshoe crab, a mama blue crab with eggs and probably 6-8 other blue crabs. We tried our hand at clamming but I think the water was high the day we went so we weren’t super successful but still had fun. Bring bug spray if you’re going to do the trail in the late afternoon/evening! Did not have a problem with bugs at all on the pier though.

Always an absolute delight. This would rank #3 on my places in Delaware to catch a truly beautiful sunrise and in addition to sunrises, Holts Landing offers and electric car charging station, playground, picnic area, boat ramp, fishing pier, walking trails and more. What more could one want in a park.

Beautiful state park with lots to do. We enjoy coming here. They have a nice crabbing/fishing pier. (Only downside is all the large crab pots that are tied off the pier in the way). Large playground area for the small ones with charcoal grilling and pavilion.. Restrooms were clean. They have a large field with soccer Nets. They also have a pay meter that accepts credit cards only if there is no one in the booth. It is NULL for all day residents and NULL all day non-residents. Boat launch area is nice and convenient, they have two slips which can get quite busy depending on time of day. If you plan on going near the little beached area(s) be sure to bring bug spray or you will get eaten alive. My only complaint, which is not the parks fault is people that are disrespectful to others. If you have a truck with a tailgate that does not have a lock please beware of the people that will open your closed tailgate to throw “their trash” into your vehicle. It unfortunately happend to us. It’s a carry in and carry out park. Let’s do better people.

This is my first time here. I really love this park. The trail is so beautiful and peaceful. The view of the water is also relaxing. The trail I took was 1.72 miles, much longer than I thought. My girls did well!! It’s NULL for put of state and NULL for in state visitors. There is a pay machine at one end of the parking lot by the canoe launch. I came in Oct and not sure if other people paid, but I before park entrance fee applies to all year round.
