FAQ for Caney Creek Preserve in Cumming Georgia:
Nice park with a nice trail that goes through the woods.
Great park for hiking with the family, it has 2 entrances, one that leads to the playground and the other one leads to the walking/hiking trail and green space area leading to the creek where kids can splash and play catch and release the minnows. The whole park feels very lush and green, we encountered a lot of locusts by the meadow area leading to the creek which scared my youngest one as they jumped and flying over your head or just past your face suddenly when you walk nearby them 😅. The restrooms are clean and available on both parking areas as well as some covered picnic area.
Nice to bring dogs for quick trail walking. I would avoid here after rain though.I wish they have more trash can.
I love goin to Caney Creek Preserve. Been comin since it first opened and will always come here for a nice quiet walk in the woods. Forsyth County did real good with this park. There’s a dog area, kids playground stuff, and some cool trails!
Nice park for a walk or a run. The trails are gravel, so not totally accessible. Some are open field walks and there’s an option for shady walks through the wooded area.
