Black Rock Park is a quaint and peaceful dog park located right along the water in Croton-On-Hudson, NY. Known for its lovely stream, sandy beach, and quiet ambiance, this spot is ideal for local residents seeking a serene environment for walking their dogs and enjoying pet-friendly trails. A charming bridge and small people area add to the park’s picturesque appeal.
It’s important to note that Black Rock Park is strictly for village residents, and you may encounter a ranger or security guard checking for proof of residency. While the park is typically uncrowded and offers a tranquil escape with beautiful water views, non-residents are generally not permitted. Its waterside location and exclusivity make it a unique choice for those living in Croton-On-Hudson looking for a quiet dog-friendly retreat.

Beautiful peaceful park. Only for residents though.

This park only allows residents to use it. It’s very exclusionary and hostile. The only person who was there was the park ranger, who immediately came and asked me if I was a resident, and then still demanded to know where I was from after I said I wasn’t a resident. It was unsettling. Congrats to the people of Croton for their lifeless, empty park I guess?

Beautiful little park. It’s for “village residents only” so we came with friends in the area. Super cute with a little stream and people area. Apparently there is a security guard here sometimes but we didn’t see one.

Quite. Nice bridge across. Sandy Beach. Great for short walks.
