Cute and well maintained park with grass, covered area, and Frisbee golf. Close to taco bell, dairy queen, and a Bimart. Has a walking path that goes around a pond.

The park is block north from the Comfort Inn, our motel. I always look for good walking trails when we travel, and this one didn’t disappoint. From the entrance, the trail goes two directions around a pleasant little lake; in-and-out trails, not a loop. My walk was in early January, temperature 47°. No, the lake wasn’t clear, but that’s how stagnant lakes often appears. Several fisherman were in kayaks on the lake. This is a very “birdy” park—many birds, lots of species. Many cormorants, lots of LBJs (“little brown jobs”), and an eagle. I’m guessing that because of the location it was a Bald Eagle, but the light was poor and I couldn’t be certain.

First time visiting here from Illinois, this park could use some tender loving care. I came looking for a Geocache, so walked some of the trails. Went down towards the lake. It was filled with algae so I could not see the bottom, or any fish.
What I did see was trash lying around the lake, in bushes, and floating on top of the water, so that was sad.
There are bathrooms off to the side of the parking area, but I didn’t check them out.
