Located conveniently at 130 Kenilworth Blvd, Cranford, NJ 07016, this pet-friendly park is renowned for its expansive trails that meander through lush woodlands and picturesque streams. Dog owners will appreciate the variety of paved and unpaved paths ideal for dog-friendly hiking as well as stroller-friendly walks and biking adventures. There are ample trash bins available to help keep the park clean, though visitors are encouraged to do their part. Great place to stroll, fish, bike and just chill.
A great place to go hiking or biking! The park is pretty expansive and actually goes through a few towns (Kenilworth, Union, Springfield, Westfield and Cranford). I only managed to see the Northeastern part of the entire thing (the Union section) but what I saw was breathtaking and beautiful. I know the trail goes on for a lot longer past the bridge into Kenilworth, so I may go back one day to explore the rest of the trail. I would recommend people try taking the scenic route through the woods, where there is a lot of vegetation, narrow paths, wildlife and streams all along the trail. A perfect place for going on a simple bike ride or a peaceful stroll through nature! Bring lots of bugspray as well during the warmer months!
This is one of the best trails to walk. It is clean, and it’s refreshing. You meet others walking it, everyone greets each other, wishing you to have a great walk. Everyone is enjoying the fresh air and walking this 2 mile trail.
Great spot for walking/biking and wildlife viewing. Also entrance on the blvd that’s kinda hidden if you don’t know the area. Check it out!

It’s been a while since I was here and wow has it changed. They cleared out so many trees in the wooded trail, not sure why. I liked the closeness of riding in the woods. Now you cns see the parking lot from inside the wooded trail where before it was totally engulfed with trees. It does look beautiful with all the flowers but, def not the same.
If you look closely you will see all types of wildlife. Groundhogs, heron, red winged black birds, woodpeckers, bluebirds, etc. Great place for a nice bike or walk. When the gun range isn’t firing, it’s even more peaceful.
Such a great spot to take in some nature a enjoy a walk/bike on their level path. If you’re more adventurous, there are a couple of trails on the opposite side of the lake. It also connects to either Nomahegan Park or Echo Lake of you really want to get more steps in. Only complaint is we often find quite a bit of garbage on the trails and left behind fishing refuse around the lake despite the fact there are trash receptacles 😫
