If you’re looking for a small yet “calm” park, then this one provides. Has a softball/baseball field, two notable hills, a small playground and a mini nature walk with a few trails and benches along the paths. Nice spot to walk the dog in.
Nice park with a playground, softball field, and some walking trails. Our kids like to roll down the big hill by the parking lot.
Nice place to take a walk. Paved walking paths go pretty deep into the woods.
Tried this park several times over the past few years and its the same filthy experience. Regarding the playground: Mold all over every single piece of equipment our children have to touch. Not only mold that is embedded, but that can also be simply wiped off. Regarding the trails: it would be a lovely walk but unless its snowing outside the swarms of mosquitoes and bugs will swarm your head and make the trail barely visible.
Great little find in Commack! Sunshine Park is clean and well kept. Children’s equipment appears in good condition. The bathrooms are Spotless!!! A baseball field is also on site. Again, in well kept condition. There’s ample parking including handicapped. Parked is frequented by families, walkers, joggers and dog walkers.
