Quarry Trails Dog Park in Columbus, Ohio, offers a spacious, scenic haven for dogs and their owners looking for outdoor adventure and relaxation. The park is shaped by its vast off-leash areas, including separate fenced spaces for both large and small dogs, ensuring a safe and friendly environment for every pup. With pet-friendly hiking trails, picnic tables, and beautiful views—plus unique features like a floating section of trail and a special kayak dock—it provides plenty of activities beyond traditional dog play.
This wheelchair accessible park is part of a larger recreational area, boasting kid-friendly hikes, rope structures for children, and even a group hammock area. Dog owners will appreciate amenities like the doggy treat program on select weekends, and plenty of room for peaceful play. While the terrain can get muddy after rain and may feature scattered waste, Quarry Trails remains a favorite in Columbus for sun-soaked adventures, friendly crowds, and memorable walks with your pet.
This place is ideal because it has a large area for your dogs to play. It seems to be lightly traveled. There were a variety of dogs there all well-behaved. The area is scenic with few trees. If you were looking for a bright sunny day with the pooch this is your place.
There is a lot to do here. There’s the trails of course, with a really cool floating portion on the water. There’s a group Hammock area which I’ve never seen before. There’s a rope structure for kids to play on. You can bring a kayak and There’s even a little special dock to get in the water. Sights are beautiful. There’s also a dog park with a big dog and little dog section, and they have a treat program some weekends where you can give your pup some water and even make them a special treat! The only drawback is that most of the trail is thick gravel which isn’t great for the pups paws. But overall this park is HUGE with a ton of trails and cool sights. I’ll definitely be back!
The two separate dog park spaces (small and larger dogs) need a real maintenance strategy. Otherwise, they will continue to be giant mud pits with feces scattered throughout.
If the Quarry Trails park allowed dogs off leash in certain areas, that would be ideal since the dog parks are 70% time unusable.
There are two parks. One for big and one for small dogs. The small one is great bc 95% of the time you have it 100% to ur self. Even with other dogs on the park it’s a huge lot so plenty of room to claim a decent sized spot just for you and your dog.
Stunning view and fun to walk on the trails. A lot of friendly dogs in the park and definitely worth it for spending couple hours there.
