Located conveniently at 18200 Station Rd, Dorlon Reservation is a newer addition to the Columbia Station, Ohio outdoor scene, making it a great destination for pet lovers seeking dog-friendly hiking and pet-friendly trails. This dog park features a mix of paved roadway and crushed limestone trails, helping ensure accessibility for all visitors, including wheelchair users. With on-site services and wheelchair-accessible parking, it’s designed to be inclusive for families and their canine companions.
While Dorlon Reservation provides a natural escape and a good outing for kids and dogs alike, reviewers have noted a high presence of ticks, especially during walks through wooded or grassy areas. Visitors are encouraged to use tick prevention and check their dogs (and themselves) after exploring the trails. As the park continues to mature, the environment and trail quality are expected to improve further.
The amount of ticks here was absolutely insane. Between both of my dogs I pulled 30+ ticks off of them, and also had ticks on myself after only walking about 25 minutes.
Opened in Summer 2024 a new park. Half the trail is a paved road the remainder is crushed limestone. Will improve as nature takes it’s course.
We took our dogs for a walk there on Saturday and they had a number of ticks on them before we even returned to the parking lot. Don’t think I’d walk there again even without the dogs.
