Beautiful leisure walk next to the water! Nice easy trails with a little history!

Much of the area has been leveled out – the buildings no longer exist. Some paths are paved and are decently well maintained. There’s a small vantage point by the watersideOverall, there isn’t much to see and a decent walk from the town, but a nice walk nonetheless

Absolutely love visiting the foundry. It’s an easy hike from the small gravel parking lot, down a tree lined path to an open area with the ruins of the foundry. You can go up the stairs to an elevated path, or take a different path to the small waterfall. Great place for kids. Very easy to get to from the train. Easily marked trail that will bring you to the Metro North station and on to the town. Hikeable all year long.

This is a great place for an easy nature walk in cold spring and to learn a little history. We had the trail mostly to ourselves in the morning and ran into a few locals occasionally walking their dogs. It was a lovely easy walk and I would recommend it if you’re in the area. It’s easy to walk to from Main Street.

This is a great place in Cold Spring to see old buildings, waterfalls and amazing fields! Off trail excursions are the best here especially to walk in the ruins of old buildings, and for river views! Also check out the South side of the waterfall so that you can walk onto a rock ledge right in front of it! This is an amazing area which you must visit when you’re in Cold Spring!
