City Park – A Pet-Friendly Oasis in Clifton, Texas

City Park in Clifton, Texas, is a charming community green space that welcomes dog owners looking for a pet-friendly outing. Located along E 2nd Street, this park offers plenty of open grass for your dog to stretch their legs and enjoy a break from car rides. The park features a playground for children, a disc golf course, basketball courts, and spacious walking areas, making it an ideal destination for the entire family. While there are some shaded areas from mature trees and a pavilion, overall shade is limited, so plan accordingly during hot Texas days.

No shade, public restroom never has toilet paper. The jungle gym is for toddler’s, but the slide is piping hot. There’s a bunch of grass to play but stickers.

It’s a nice little park on the way out of Clifton along 219. There are stone tables there but some are in severe disrepair, the park equipment in the playground area is still good, the swing sets are comforable, and there’s a lot of open space to walk around and collect unusually large acorns. This park is mostly a stop-off area unless you want to go further in by the old armory to the basketball courts and soccer field.

I visited because of the disc golf course. I’m very impressed with the park style course. Lots of mature trees giving some awesome canopies forcing you to throw defined lines. Tee pad signs could use some updates to correctly show trees, tee pad areas, and baskets. Concrete tee pads would definitely be a blessing to this course. Would definitely get five stars if the course had concrete pads. I will be back.

Interesting City Park along the Bosque River. Lots of open areas with some really old concrete picnic tables, some are in severe disrepair and I think they need new bbq/grills. It does seem to have a very large disc golf course!

It is a wonderful park for toddlers and young children. Also a place to encounter classmates, family and friends with their children or grandchildren. The children, when we have been there, have all been friendly, kind and cooperative with other children. All of the adults we have encountered have been the same, keeping a good eye on their charges and the other children.
