Good food. There’s no bathrooms FYI. The reason for the deducted star is bc no napkins are out there, u gotta ask for more napkins. But that is not good for two reasons: 1) smashed burgers are pretty messy food, requiring more napkins than the typical meal. And 2) without bathrooms to wash hands, u gotta run the hand sanitizer-napkin-sanitizer-napkin method. But u can’t do that cuz ur napkins were already spent on the mess from the food.

You might be asking: why don’t you just ask the guy who works there for more napkinsNULL Excellent question. Let me ask you this: how do you feel about approaching another human being with your face covered and sauce and hands, all saucy and sauced up looking like a gremlin with poor etiquetteNULL

Just perfect! The mashed fries with a double patty were excellent! I added the Cajun base spicy and just perfect. I always order from them, and the quantity and quality are consistently amazing. I also love the decoration, and the fact that they stay open late at night is perfect for me 😃

The lady at the counter was super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Service was quick, and the restaurant was clean and organized. I usually don’t leave reviews, but my experience at Mashed Burger was so disappointing that I felt compelled to share it — especially in hopes that management will take this seriously and retrain their staff.

I ordered a burger and fries to-go and waited over 30 minutes inside the restaurant. During that time, I watched another customer who arrived about 15 minutes after me receive their order first. When I finally went to the counter to ask about my order, a female employee casually told me, “Yes, your order is ready,” without even looking at me — and then continued packaging other takeout bags for several seconds before eventually handing me my food.

When I asked why no one called out my order (since I had been waiting the whole time), she smirked and said, “I wasn’t the one who took your order,” as if that excused her from any responsibility. She then added, “It’s okay, the food isn’t cold,” which was not true — the burger and fries were cold to the touch. There was no apology, no courtesy, and absolutely no sense of accountability.

To make matters worse, the music inside the restaurant was blasting extremely loudly, making it hard to even hear conversations. It was clear that the speakers were connected to one of the employee’s phones, because every few minutes you could hear text message notification sounds coming through the speakers. This not only disrupted the environment but made the entire place feel careless and unprofessional.

Finally, the burger itself was made carelessly, as can be seen in the attached picture. It was sloppy, cold, and clearly not prepared with any attention to quality, which adds to the overall sense of disregard for customers.

This kind of dismissive, inconsiderate service completely ruins the dining experience and reflects very poorly on the restaurant’s management. It’s unacceptable to let customers wait that long, ignore them when their order is ready, blast personal music, and serve sloppy food.

I hope Mashed Burger reviews their in-store camera footage and provides proper training and supervision so this doesn’t happen again. Cliffside Park has plenty of other burger spots, and I’ll be going elsewhere until this place improves.

Good spot for burgers. Patties are cooked perfectly and buns are solid. They put alot of sauce maybe too much, but some might like it like that. Would come to to eat again
