Fantastic park. Try to make the hawk migration in fall. Check out the view and then take the stairs down into Devil’s Kitchen – a space between two rocks that is cave exploration light. It looks scary from the top of the metal stairs but the “cave” is very short and your immediately back on a trail that curves around back to the parking lot. Hit the gift shop, too! They have a couple of great exhibits. There is a model of the hills and valley so you can get a bird’s eye view of where Caesar’s Head is and get a better idea of what your actually looking at from the top. There is also a digital microscope set up so you can examine some things from nature up close. Kids loved it. Lots of picnic tables. Bring food and take your time! Actual Bathrooms are also on site.
Really awesome over look.There are some amazing views of the area and a neat mountain with a lake in the middle right across from the overlook.Devils kitchen was also neat to walk through.
Lovely state park. The visitor center is nice. We got the info on trails and did two of them. We had done ravens cliff before. We did frank coggins trail. It has a few waterfalls which we didn’t expect. We also did the wildcat wayside which we did on the way out. That had bigger waterfalls and is also easier to do. There are many other trails , so we will be back again. We went in August. It was warm but the tree cover is always nice. There are picnic tables by visitor center, we had picnic lunch there. Gift shop is also nice. We had some slushies there. Restrooms were clean but no water for washing hands. There was hand sanitizer
This is a gorgeous place. The trails are at different pull offs so you may want to prepare before coming here. Also, go to the visitors center first because there is a fee and they well give you a receipt for your dashboard. I wasn’t able to make it to Ravens Cliff falls because it absolutely poured when I was here, but I’d totally come back. I liked what I did see.
What a beautiful spot! I visited while staying with my parents (they’re locals) and they brought me here. It was March, so the view wasn’t at its peak, but it was still absolutely breathtaking! It’s a bit of a drive, but totally worth it. There’s also a cute little shop nearby with friendly service—definitely worth popping into. Highly recommend stopping by if you have the time!
