🐾 How to Handle Aggressive Dogs at the Dog Park – Real Advice from Dog Owners
Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
P. D. Lacewell Park is a convenient spot for dog owners looking for a dog-friendly park in Cleburne, TX. While not exclusively a dog park, the space offers a clean, quiet, and mostly fenced area that gives you a chance to walk your dog or let them explore. Although there isn’t dedicated signage or officially marked dog areas, the fence coverage and open layout provide a degree of safety for dogs and owners.
The park is unique in that it’s built on elevated ground, offering a view and a bit of adventure, but be aware of the steep steps and challenging access for strollers or mobility devices. There is some playground equipment for kids and a large mural, making it a multi-use community park. Parking is not clearly marked, so plan to park along the street or use the nearby u-drive. Shade is limited, so bring water for both you and your pet on hot days.
Could use a upgrade but it’s clean and quiet
The park is fun for kids, not so much for the adults for a lack of shade. The restrooms were so nasty we took kids elsewhere when they needed to go. And their structures make people feel secluded instead of included, which is what a day at the park is all about.
Not huge but bigger than expected from the street view driving by. I wish they had more information about the composting posted somewhere; it definitely piqued my curiosity. No marked parking, so I just took my best guess and hoped I wouldn’t get a ticket.
They took out almost all of the play equipment and never returned it. It has swings, and one blue tower thing. It’s the most in-accessible park from the sidewalk you can imagine. Picture a park built on top of a stone tower. You can’t get a stroller up into it. Where are our property taxes going? Nice work City of Cleburne
The update this past year made it to where it is 1 climbing thing and swings. It is fenced in on most sides….. if you are coming from the street it has steep steps up to it but if it hasn’t changed there is an opening that has a u-drive and a huge flag mural but they are redoing that side
