East Clayton Dog Park

East Clayton Dog Park is a well-maintained, wheelchair accessible dog park featuring separate areas for small and large dogs. It offers benches for seating, obstacles for dog play, and shade for comfort. The park has a water pump for dogs, though users are advised to bring extra water as the pump may sometimes be off. The area is fenced, making it a safe spot for off-leash play and socializing. Parking is available on a dirt/gravel lot, and the park is known for being welcoming and suitable for skittish dogs as well as families with children.

They offer a small and large dog area. Large dog area has water pump which at times gets turned off so people need to bring gallons of water for the dogs. That’s 1 star deduction. The 2 star deduction is the sweet gum trees dropping berries everywhere. The pine mulch is nice. The dogs like to dig in it. They have some obstacles for the dogs as well as benches for the people. Standing up seems to be the obstacle for them. It’s across the street from east Clayton community which is convenient for parents with dogs. Parking is something limited but I’ve yet to see it full where it’s an issue.

A very nice place for pup to play and socialize with others. Really nice people. Great obstacles for the dogs to have a lot of fun we will definitely be back.

We were the only small dogs there that day so we had the play yard to ourselves. Nicely fencedd area. There wasss water there and shade. No grass. We had plenty of room to run around and chace the ball. Parking was fine.
We went after our morning walk on the Neuse trail so they could finish their day with off leash time.
Parking was fine. Easy in and out, Not paved! Dirt/gravle so if you must have a nice parking lot might wannt to try the raleigh park. We have been there also.

Considering how small Clayton is it’s a pretty nice little park. Perfect for my very skittish new rescue to get to know other dogs and come out of her shell around strangers. The water spigot is a bit messy with some mud in front of it, so be ready to have to wash your dog off.

Kobe enjoyed the park even on cold days. It’s well kept and always clean.
