Longwood Park Campground is a beautiful
Army Corp. of engineers campground on Kerr Lake — we had an incredible stay! The scenery is absolutely beautiful, with large, well-spaced campsites that include fire rings and plenty of room to spread out. The paved roads throughout the campground made it perfect for bike riding, and the overall family-friendly atmosphere was fantastic.

There’s no shortage of things to do — from birdwatching and peaceful nights by the campfire to swimming at the beach (don’t forget your swimsuit!) and tons of water activities right on the lake. They even have a loaner life jacket station in case you forget one for the kids — such a thoughtful touch!

The playground is huge, and there are tons of picnic areas available for day use (small fee required). It’s also close enough to town to grab firewood or other essentials without a hassle.

We loved our stay and will definitely be returning to this pristine, well-maintained campground. Highly recommend it for families, nature lovers, or anyone looking to unwind by the water

Our favorite place to camp every year. They have great prices and everyone is so friendly. The campsites aren’t too close together with lots of trees around. The view is just breathtaking! Great for summer and fall camping.

Absolutely a favorite of ours. Where could you go wrong? This place is perfect for both tent camping and rvs. Dogs are welcomed but must be on the leash at all times and properly controlled/contained. Sites are right on the water and most have boat access (if you want to leave it in the lake while on vacation) and the boat ramp is less than a mile away. Staff is very friendly and also other campers will often wave and say hello so in all its a great place if you want a small, quiet, friendly camping trip.

Nice well maintained and beautiful campground. Showers and bathrooms were clean. our site was right on the lake so we could walk to it and fish. Would definitely go again. Only 2 negatives are the boats on the lake in the early morning and the traffic on 51. The boats are not really bad since it is such a large lake. However the traffic on 51 can be annoying since the campground is right off the highway. It is a rural hwy so the traffic is minimal and nearly non-existent at night.
