Incredible place to camp. We stayed three nights with our travel trailer and loved it. You can’t get full hookups here but they had 50 amp electric and a dump station on site. Three days is just about the right time frame for us on electric only. Wish our fresh water tank held a little more but that isn’t the parks fault. Seriously, there’s nothing like sitting out in the morning with your coffee or sitting by the fire as the sun sets just surrounded by the incredible views. Might have to go back for leaf season
Beautiful park. Nice campground and hiking trails. Boat rentals and fishing. No water hookups but the bathhouse was very nice and clean. Lots of wildlife around.
Wonderful state park with a lake in the middle of the the mountains. I the summer there can be many motor boats here. If you want to avoid that, consider Pearl Lake which is 5 min away. Nice hiking trails near the lake.
June stay–Beautiful scenery of snow capped mountains, water was awesome for kayaking and clean. Most waterfront sites had small private trails directly to the water. One of the best locations to camp with kids in CO by far. Short drive to Steamboat Springs.
Edit: Added photos, cheers!
GREAT PLACE TO FISH! If you’re looking for Quality trout this a great lake to visit. Camping looks great as well I am looking forward to doing that sometime soon! The Staff are also really friendly. Sites are clean as are the restrooms. There is a dump site here as well. Great place to beach, kayak, fish, boat, fly fish and hike.
