Veterans Park in Claremont, New Hampshire is a vibrant local spot for families and pet owners alike. Set along scenic walking and ATV trails, this park welcomes visitors with wide open grassy areas, a ball field, and access to popular amenities for outdoor fun. While the park is not exclusively a dog park, its pet-friendly trails and ample green space make it a popular destination for dog owners looking to explore the outdoors with their four-legged friends. The park’s regular mowing ensures a clean space for your dog to enjoy, and the presence of a stream nearby offers a great way for pups to cool off during summer months.
Families with children will appreciate the playground and sports fields, and dog owners benefit from the large natural areas for leashed walks. Please note, some recent updates—including new pickle ball courts—may have reduced shaded areas near the playground. Despite these changes, Veterans Park remains a convenient and accessible choice for a dog-friendly park in Claremont, especially with nearby conveniences such as Burger King, gas stations, and other stores within walking distance. Portable restrooms are available, making visits more comfortable.
Went to watch my son play in men’s softball game
This park is beautiful and it has a loves stream running around the park fun place to at and cool off
Watched co ed softball game, Saturday 6/3/23. Our team lost but some of the guys on opposing team are all kids that grew up at my house with my boys😊
Great park, nice play ground, ball games start a little earlier some days at 6:30 am for their softball games/practice, An nice trail’s for atv/Atc/dirt bike/walk’in etc, to Burger King or gas station & other stores. I just they have horse U pit also. An 2 Portta Potty’s. Grass is mow’d alot. An sometimes a random just do their thing in their ride, And watch out for the peep’s that aren’t suppose’d ta be near parks aka (molester’s). I have some memorie’s of this nice park.
Went to the park with my wife and 6 yr old son. The only complaint I have is that they cut down a lot of trees by the park itself to make way for the pickle ball courts. Ruined the shade and looks of the playground.
