Veterans Park – Dog-Friendly Recreation in Claremont, New Hampshire

Veterans Park in Claremont, New Hampshire is a vibrant local spot for families and pet owners alike. Set along scenic walking and ATV trails, this park welcomes visitors with wide open grassy areas, a ball field, and access to popular amenities for outdoor fun. While the park is not exclusively a dog park, its pet-friendly trails and ample green space make it a popular destination for dog owners looking to explore the outdoors with their four-legged friends. The park’s regular mowing ensures a clean space for your dog to enjoy, and the presence of a stream nearby offers a great way for pups to cool off during summer months.

Families with children will appreciate the playground and sports fields, and dog owners benefit from the large natural areas for leashed walks. Please note, some recent updates—including new pickle ball courts—may have reduced shaded areas near the playground. Went to the park with my wife and 6 yr old son. The only complaint I have is that they cut down a lot of trees by the park itself to make way for the pickle ball courts. Ruined the shade and looks of the playground.
