My wife and I love coming to this small, community campground to enjoy the local attractions in and around Clare. The campsites are paved, offer water and electric (30 amp) and there are showers an bathrooms available.
Always love going here the river makes such a nice relaxing sound.
Not good for tent campers. A very bright street lamp is in the primitive section. It wasn’t on when we arrived at 10:30pm, but turned in a little after we settled in. Made it hard to sleep.
Be aware also that the campsites are very small.
This is a roadside campground at best. But hey—if visiting beautiful Clare, Michigan it’s definitely convenient!

What a beautiful campground. I was there the weekend after July 4, and there were only four of the 20 sites used. NULL for electric & water!
Perfect and affordable for our entire family. In walking distance to a huge park and a lake. At 20 a night was super affordable. Bath house and bathrooms where always clean. Could use more trash cans outside
