Citronelle Park, located in the heart of Citronelle, Alabama, is a welcoming community spot for families and their furry companions. The park is currently undergoing renovations to add a splash pad area and new restrooms, making it an even better destination for locals seeking pet-friendly outdoor adventures. Known for its beautiful picnic areas and ample green space, it’s a great place to relax and enjoy a day out with your dog or the whole family.
While the main focus of Citronelle Park isn’t solely dog activities, it’s a gathering place where dogs are welcome. There are open grounds for exercise, and with police nearby, visitors often feel safe. While some recent visitors have noted litter concerns, the park’s charm and convenience—like its proximity to kid-friendly activities—continue to attract residents and visitors alike. Parking can be tricky to spot, so be sure to turn at the light by the cannon and enter a few hundred feet down on the left.
There is a water park addition but not sure the schedule for that coming on. Other similar places do Memorial day weekend through Labor day so I expect similar. The entrance to the parking is no the easiest to find it you haven’t been there before. Turn at the light by the cannon and a few hundred feet down on the left is the entrance.

Decent area to let your kid play. They are renovating it for a small kids’ splash pad area and new restrooms. Police are usually within a short distance if needed.

I enjoyed my visit. However, the dumpster was overflowing with trash. That was very unsanitary & made that area look terrible. The “tot lot ‘ entrance had a garbage can, but there were napkins strewn all over. I picked the trash up from that area myself. There was also trash laying all around the grounds. I did call Citronelle City Hall & informed them of the situation, was told there would be someone sent to clean the area. I was there for 2+ hrs & nobody showed up. I called City Hall. There were quite a few ppl there. I just think this was a bad influence on the ppl at the park.
