LaBoiteaux Woods Nature Center offers a scenic and family-friendly escape on the north side of Cincinnati, Ohio. Known for its educational programs and commitment to local history, this pet-friendly park features walking and hiking trails where leashed dogs are welcome. It’s a great spot for those seeking dog-friendly hiking in Cincinnati, with wooded paths, picnic tables, and a peaceful setting away from the city bustle.
Accessibility is a priority here, with wheelchair accessible entrances and parking available. While the park does not have a dedicated fenced dog park, its nature trails are popular among visitors enjoying pet-friendly adventures. Families with children will appreciate activities like the Nocturnal Day Camp and educational exhibits at the center, making it a well-rounded location for both humans and their canine companions.
My family enjoyed an educational experience learning about the Underground Railroad activity in the area. Beautiful area and a good little hike.
Beautiful but beware! Trails are POORLY maintained. So much overgrowth. I popped in to run some trails and I left with literally hundreds of green sticky burrs all over my clothing, ruining them… Trail maintenance is almost nonexistent
It’s a little off the beaten path, but so worth the trip. Shout out to the nature center staff. Guided “Hike to Freedom” was sold out, but they gave our family the full story and background of the Underground Railroad in the college hill area. They had great displays and passion for making the park/center even better than it is. We had a great hike following a snowy night and give it thumbs-up!
Brought my kids to the Nocturnal Day Camp and the staff was absolutely amazing. Thank you so much for your work.
Fun camp for my kid and friendly staff.
