Located at 1401 N Noble St, Park #536 is a convenient dog park in Chicago, offering a shady retreat for dog owners and their furry friends. Nestled right next to the highway, this park is easy to access for locals and provides a quieter spot than you might expect, even with its proximity to major roads. The ground is covered in wood chips, making it a pleasant alternative to cement surfaces and ensuring dogs have a soft area to play.
While Park #536 is open until 11 pm, dog owners should be aware that there is no lighting at night, making it very dark after sunset. The park is entirely shaded by trees, providing relief during hot summer days, but maintenance can be inconsistent, with broken benches and variable cleanliness. Limited street parking is available nearby, so consider alternate transportation if you visit during busy times. Despite these issues, Park #536 remains a favorite local dog hangout, especially while other local dog parks are under renovation.
Open until 11 pm which is nice, but there isn’t any lighting so pitch dark at night. It’s also right up against the highway which is loud. Ground is wood chips & park generally not well maintained. A lot of neighbors dogs bark out of windows distracting play, and found very limited street parking. There are a lot of other off leash dog parks nearby that are larger and in better shape.

Quickly became a favorite escape while wicker park dog space is under renovation. This park is quiet, despite sitting immediately next to the highway. Another perk: the park is entirely shaded.

Be careful at night and don’t bring nice shoes. A lot of locals don’t care about picking up their dogs stuff.

A nice shady spot that isn’t cement (wood chips instead). Pretty basic, but despite being up against the highway is pretty quiet. Could use some upkeep as the benches aren’t all in the best condition.
